Online Consultations (eConsultations)
Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic and Scottish government advice on social distancing, we have upgraded and improved our systems to transfer to Telemedicine and introduce safe and secure online electronic consultations to replace the majority of our routine endodontic consultations.
The benefits of this system include:
· Adhering to social distancing advice and reducing your travelling
· Improving the convenience of the appointment as you will be able to arrange it yourself online for the most suitable time
· Increasing the comfort as you will be at home during the consultation
· Enhancing the cost effectiveness of the appointment for you
Upon the receipt of your referral from your dentist, we shall contact you to confirm this and will send you a welcome pack, which includes important documents and information, and guide you on how to access the calendar to book your eConsultation. You can also find the link on our website’s contact section.
The online appointment self-booking is only for patients who have been referred by their dentists and require a consultation prior to their treatment. We will contact you to confirm this. If you have a query about a dental problem or are not registered with a dentist please use the ‘How can we help?’ section first to send us a message. If you are in pain and require information, advice or assistance, please complete our ‘Are you in pain’ section of the website to get in touch with us. To book your consultation you can visit our website’s contact section on https://www.edinburghendodontist.com/contact, scroll to ‘Online Consultation’, click on the Green circle ‘30 minute Consultation with Dr Navid Saberi’, choose a date and a time that suits, enter your details for a secure payment and schedule your appointment. You will receive a confirmation from us with a link to access the Online Consultation room at a specified date and time chosen by you.
We are around to guide you through the process. This may be the first time you have used an online consultation and may have questions about it before the event. Please do not hesitate to contact us and share your thoughts and questions. Please remember, you will require suitable internet access and adequate privacy during your consultation. Therefore, we strongly advise that you refrain from accessing the eConsultation room in public. Furthermore, please do not forget the need to have adequate security software on you device for all online activity regardless of the occasion.
Please be advised that further clinical tests and investigations may still to be carried out following the eConsultation. We will fully inform you on the need for further investigation during your eConsultation.
