Sedation Nervous Patients

Many patients feel self-conscious about dental treatment in general and root canal treatment in particular and nervous about visiting the endodontist. We offer special care to our anxious patients through sedation to make their appointments more comfortable and relaxing. The type we use is called intravenous or IV sedation. The sedative drug is administered in a controlled manner by anaesthetists or sedationists, so that you feel relaxed during the root canal treatment.

Our team of specialists and nurses are specially trained to deliver these types of sedation and will make sure that you are safe and comfortable at all times during your visit.

Some patients may also benefit from anxiolytic medication. These are antipanic and antianxiety pills that may help reduce your stress. During your consultation you will discuss your concerns with us, we will understand your requirements and tailor the treatment to your needs.

Life Benefits
  • Now you don't have to let your fear of the dentist stop you from getting the dental treatment that you need.
  • A safe way to feel calm and relaxed during root canal treatment.
  • Remember, root canal treatment is not painful. The procedure stops the existing pain and/or diminishes the development of pain in the future.
  • Most of our patients report no discomfort during the procedure. In fact, many fall asleep during the treatment. You may experience some post-operative discomfort, which can be easily alleviated by taking painkillers.
  • We are always around for advice and reassurance. You can contact us if you have any concerns
